So, the point of this blog was to try out new recipes, new crafts, new adventures, etc. Well so far I have completely failed!! :) But I am trying a new recipe tonight. Hungry Girl's Too EZ Mac and Cheesy :)
I LOVE Hungry Girl. First of all, she is a huge endorser for Weight Watchers, which I have been trying to do for the last 4-5 weeks. She is famous for healthy swaps. i.e. making mac n cheese healthy, fried chicken, anything and everything!! So for the recipe, click the link. it makes 4 servings, and they are 5 WW Points Plus each!..that is pretty good for a meal! If the recipe turns out delicious, it was maybe one of the easiest recipes ever! I got whole wheat pasta, some Caulifower and Cheese Sauce from the microwavable steamer/vegetable section (a big bag, it was 24 oz), and some Laughing Cow Cheese. If you don't know what Laughing Cow is...you need to go find it!! It is in different spots at different grocery stores. At Wal-Mart it is by the fruits/veggies/gourmet cheeses. They come in all different flavors and usually right about 35 calories a wedge. so good on crackers, in recipes, etc.

WELL, the results are in: It's really good!! It isn't as cheddar-y as kraft mac n cheese, but it's a good cheesy fix!
ENJOY!

The meaning behind the name..
So, I have been thinking of starting a blog for a long time now, and I always put it off because I never knew what I would write about. I knew once Kyle and I got married, I would have plenty to write about...with all of our new adventures as a married couple. This past week, a few of my friends started a blog so it started inspiring me. (thanks Katie and Abby!) I have been cooking and trying new recipes, and people are always wanting the recipe after. It isn't going to be just about cooking-- but that is my first step into blogging! Something I like to talk about and like to do. I also am going to talk about my weight loss, workouts, fashion, and my every day life in wedding planning and continuing on into "married life."
I was talking to my friend Katie about a creative blog name, and she threw a few at me. They were all cute, but one stuck: Skye's the Limit. She said it just made sense, with my cooking adventures, and journey into my new life, there is NO limit. Little did she know of a little 7th graders' story. In 7th grade, I decided to run for class president. For my campaign slogan we made up "Skye's the Limit" for the exact same reason. I wanted the rest of the students to know that there is no limit, etc. etc. No, I didn't win the election. :) So thanks to Katie, and the 7th grade officer election, for helping me create my blog name!
I don't know how often I will post, I am always pretty busy! Between working full time, going to yoga or boot camp, and planning the wedding in Austin..there is never much time for extra stuff.
Well that is it for my first post. I found a TON of fun/healthy recipes I want to try while on the internet last night, so hopefully I can start that up next week.
